I noticed when I was prepping this old Sunday from 1993, that it ran on Valentine’s Day that year. I suppose there’s nothing like a dirty, whiny prepubescent to dampen romantic enthusiasm. I’ve always dabbled in canning, or “putting up” food. Inspired by friends in Tennessee who’ve been doing it for years, I’m dabbling a little deeper this year. In researching the subject on the Web, I learned that I’m behind the curve, as usual; it seems that preserving food is quite trendy these days. Ah well, I suppose it beats “Angry Birds.” Anyone have a good canning story?
