Well, the effort to put a big pot over the oil leak hasn’t gone well. To paraphrase one spokesman, they’re not saying it has failed, but it hasn’t worked either. Do not panic. There is a fall-back plan. Next, BP and company intend to inject chopped up tires and old golf balls into the well. It is not a good week to be a red snapper.
