I’m not sure if this classic A&J from 1997 has run here before or not, but if it has it was a long time ago. (Where do you get the strange notion I should know these things?) I received word yesterday that the test batch of Arlo & Janis tee shirts has been printed. I haven’t seen them yet, but I will tomorrow. We’ll be tweaking the design as needed, and before you can say “I want one,” the final product will be in production. More on this soon.

Actually I guess I could link something else but it once linked to my Sail Oklahoma page and I never removed that. I am getting ready to restructure Sail Oklahoma to revive it next year with a new Facebook and Web page.
My becoming administrator on some of the Facebook pages comes with differing degrees of power, just as it-does being a moderator on Internet groups. One of the things we watch for aRe spam, trolls, profanity, rudeness, politics, religious extremes, sexual attacks, you know, the stuff that breads oUT at some peoples Thanks giving dinner
So, porn shold hAve been on my mind bUT wasn’t aND this dang table is crazer tHan the phone!
First thinges I caught was a bare brested chickadee in the showever holding them up to display after I had made her a member because she listed a few sailors I knew up in Port Townsend..
So, I began watching all women applicants and it was amazing that I often had as many as ten friends in common with women with a plastic body parts obsession and no other information shown . Then I found they were hiding behind men’s names too so I had to look and read the profiles which I did the other night and will do again, all 1300 of them because I can block or ban them and I do
So, besides fact there are serious people like me trying to protect against spam and porn, I have been laughing this week because yes, these women would love to have my friends list which does look like a list of johns, all men and just a few women, hundreds of them, and if I make them a friend of mine they get access to my hundreds of friends too. So tonight I will listen to music and rescue end my boating groups and my personal friends list.
Love, Jackie
Mark I will email you when I can follow how to block the phone and tablet. They change stuff before it sends and after I read it!
‘Twas I at 5:00 pm. I was in a rush then so didn’t enter the name.
You’re welcome, Mindy. He is a nice guy, very friendly and willing to advise people who are trying to learn the skills. The other people who were meeting there were fun to be around, too. Even if you weren’t carving.
He and the club carved a full-size cigar-store type Indian statue as a fund-raiser while we were going there. It was really amazing to watch a log turn into a realistic-looking statue over the period of a few months. They used hand tools to do all the carving.

When I hear that Patricia is the strongest storm to ever hit North America that gets my attention. We know how well I predict a hurricane’s path but I will say that they are predicting winds of 25mph by the time it reaches Texas and that sounds unlikely. I understand there is flooding now in the southwest and this storm is going to make it worse. That I believe and anyone in the southwest should keep a close eye on the storm.
The NHC says “Models continue to show the development of a cyclone near the Texas coast over the weekend.” They throw that in with the discussion of Patricia and I have no idea what it means and I’m not going to make a guess.
My friend on the boat on West coast of Mexico just put photo of Bubba her cat in hotel room and they are OK for now. No idea on boat. She tried to ride it out on boat, mentioned how wet Bubba got and he was dry now.
My late cat Fluffy Paws washed out of a blown out Condon and washed up on a big tree that landed on other side of our boat slip. We rescued her and loved her forever but any rain terrified her. We figured she swam onto the tree and rode it to shore.
Just to clear up a minor point, Hurricane Camille in 1969 had estimated wind gusts of 230 mph. Wind gusts from Patricia at landfall have been reported at 211 mph. However, sustained winds in Patricia were estimated at 200 mph and in Camille at 190, therefore Patricia is considered a stronger storm. Hurricane Ivan killed people and made luxury homes disappear just a few miles from me in 2004 so I hope that I don’t see another, although Dennis hit us the next year with little effect.
Debbe 😉 This should get your feet moving…

Good morning Villagers….
Old Bear, thank you for the pumpkin pie makings advice, and I didn’t know there were two different kinds of pumpkin…one for cooking and one for carving…see, ya learn something every day here.
Judy, you have such sage advice, when one does surround oneself with positive people….it does rub off, and the opposite also applies. It’s sad that negativity seems to be rampant more than ever now….that’s why I work in a hen house, I surround myself with a bunch of clucks instead of……
My hens are looking worse every day. They have become spent hens. Think I’ll bring George into the packing room today to watch the rain through the window, I put him on a skid in front of this window. He is beautiful and makes me smile knowing he is going to go to a good home before long and not be a part of the purge.
gotta go
Happy Caturday…………….
GR 😉 I’ll see your Thin Lizzy and raise you a Mountain ….love those cowbells

My friend in Mexico said her boat has two masts and is still floating.
A Nonnie, then try this link. Sorry about the other one.

Up until they did the food presentation that was a good cooking video. If Food Network would speed up like that it would improve it!
Just saw a great pumpkin carved like the Donald. Have no idea how to link it. Not a political remark, just great carving!
No, Anonie, Food Network runs at the perfect speed…when Giada uses her wire whisk. Otherwise, the jiggling would be over too quickly.
Debbe, my favorite pie pumpkins are Sugar Pie-the little round dark orange ones you can find at most grocery stores, and Cinderellas-the ones that look like someone pushed the stem end down trying to flatten the pumpkin. (Legend has it that when he was doing the drawings for his fairy tale Charles Perrault used this pumpkin for Cinderella’s coach.) The easiest way to cook them is cut them in half, scrape out the seeds, then put the halves cut side down on baking pans (like jelly roll pans) and put them in a 350 degree oven until you can stick a knife through them. Let cool, scrape out the pulp and puree it in a blender or food processor, then dump it in a sieve and let the liquid drain out, then put it into plastic bags and freeze. 🙂
Anonymous, would that be a Trumpkin? Yes, I guess it is.

FYI, another recommended cooking variety: http://gardenerskitchen.co.uk/vegetable_details.php?v=ghost-rider&t=pumpkin&tid=50&vid=92&f=D-P
Hey, they named a pumpkin after me!
And the Ghost Rider pumpkin is: very reliable, easy to grow, good sized deep orange round heads, and also good to eat too!
Thanks for that link, Sand. That’s a great way to think about tai chi, cartooning, anything else in your life—or life in general!! Also loved your description of the Ghost Rider pumpkin!!!
