Jimmy Johnson

Creator of the comic strip 'Arlo & Janis,' Mr. Johnson first encountered an armadillo when he was 7 years old and visiting cousins in Mobile, Alabama. He has never forgotten the experience and considers it a turning point in his life. He is uncommonly well suited to be a professional cartoonist.

I thought you might be interested in seeing the actual Wyeth paintings plagiarized in Sunday’s Arlo and Janis. I admit to a glaring embarrassment, which you’ll be made aware of when you come to it. The paintingsĀ are, from left, Winter, 1946; Turkey Pond; Trodden Weed; Kitty in the Window, and Up in the Studio.
