This classic A&J is from this week in 2001, 20 years ago. In this series, Arlo is experiencing that vague dissatisfaction and boredom we all feel from time to time. Yes, I know: he should volunteer at the local humane society or a homeless shelter. I am often tempted to draw a week of strips as I think commenters would have them. (Certain commenters! I don’t mean you for heaven’s sake.) However, I don’t think they’d be very funny, and newspapers are no longer hiring. Plus, to paraphrase Tommy Lasorda, I don’t argue with people who purchase pixels by the quadrillions. Anyway, little did Arlo know at the time that if he didn’t like his world, he’d be living in a very different one within a month.
