I think I said something a few days ago about spring finally arriving. Well, forget it. It’s supposed to freeze tonight, quite possibly setting a new record for the low temperature on this date. But listen to me. Our friends in the midwest and northeast are getting yet another wave of snow. Based on newspapers, I probably have a greater concentration of readers in the aforementioned regions that anywhere else in the country. I hope they’ll forgive me if I say I’m glad I don’t live there now. However, check back with me in July. I could change my mind.

Speaking of things related to those of the female persuasion, I take back 7.5% of all the bad things I said about the gocomics page for having too many ads on it. Recently I went there and hit the hat-trick…an illustrated ad for Victoria’s Secret lingerie on one side; an illustrated ad for Venus bikinis on the other side: and another company’s ad showing an animated line of lacy bikini panties running across the top. Sheer advertising genius.
@GR6,
Symply amazing you are a targeted audience lol! They know what you like and are filtering your ads that way…have learned a Fargone lot over the last few months working with our website(click my name/link) we can target through FB advertising any demographic they have metrics on(ie. Blues music lovers over age 35 under 65 in the Worcester County area or within 50 miles thereof) and you my dear Ghost get panty ads, I love it!
Someday I will turn off my ad blocker or pay attention to what they are selling me, I think it is still motorcycle stuff….speaking of which, next nice day I am two wheeling for the first time in over a year. Which brings me to the weather….real gray and rainy here, but warm enough, not worth talking about…
AdBlock prevents me from such delectations as Ghost describes, though I would be more interested in shoes and clothes than underwear. My taste in undergarment is rather pedestrian, I fear,
I don’t buy their apparel, but if they want to feed me eye-candy, well, I suppose I’ll just have to accept that I’m going to be bombarded with photos of skimpily-clad young ladies. 🙂
Thanks, Lily. There goes another fantasy, along with the one about Jean cosplaying Princess Leia. 🙂
We in the Midwest and the Northeast are renowned for our good taste in comic strips.
Just a couple inches of snow last night in SW Michigan. After dealing with over 140 inches so far, nothing to worry about. Actually the parking lot snow piles from plowing are down below five feet in most places.
Sharon, read the first sentence in your first post. Fingers outran the keyboard, most likely. Or a Freudian slip, perhaps.
Jimmy, I think you jinxed the weather. Was up to the 80’s going into the weekend. Then a flood yesterday and today’s highs in the 50’s and going near freezing tonight. Weather Underground shows normal average of 75 for this week.
GR6, you could adapt the weather rock instructions for the naked weather.
Anybody see the story of the tourist who got 18 months in the pokey for relieving himself on the Alamo? Somebody should have told him that wasn’t what they meant by “Remember the Alamo”.
Mark, here in Texas the Alamo is the most holy of shrines. Gonzales and San Jacinto run a close second. And when a Texan talks of the War of Independance, it’s not that Eastern thing of 1776, is the real thing of 1836.
Good morning Villagers….
Sort of over slept….
Ya’ll have a blessed Holy Week.

Fargone snow again this AM? Symply too much, saw my shadow back in May!
Blinky, one of my favorite cooking shows is The Naked Chef with Jamie Oliver, and Jamie keeps his clothes on!
Symply, I don’t have a jar of schmaltz in the fridge, but I do have one of bacon grease. As Emeril Lagasse says, it’s all about the pork fat, baby!
Woke up this morning to temps in the mid-20s. I wish Mother Nature would pick a weather pattern and stick with it. 😉
@Trapper Jean,
In my house it was all about the chicken fat and the chicken(hear that Debbe; but we ate the bird) soup one day, coq au vin the next, then Symply into a casserole or sandwiches the next day. Everything got used. Meat stuffing was also made with the chicken parts(no meat just organs)livers, heart etc, hard boiled egg, onion, matzo, celery….and I ground it on Papa’s workbench with one of those big ole’ Fargone grinders folks used to have with two dies screwed on to the end. The crank handle when I was little was as long as my arm.
We tawkin’ food heah? I’m going to make a smoothie.
My family in Georgia keep asking me when I am moving back, and I tell them when they do something about July and August. You can always put on warmer clothes, but you can only take off so many.
LI, NY –
We dewinterized the RV the week before last. (For those who don’t know about this – all water has to be gotten out of the RV tanks, water lines, valves, etc. in the fall so when it gets cold nothing freezes and bursts, after getting the water out a non-toxic, but vile, antifreeze is added. In the spring after the frost possibility ends, one runs water through to get the antifreeze out, puts diluted bleach in, gets that out and then rinses the system a few more times.) We had to get it done as we had to take the RV to the dealer (2 states away) for work on the water system last week (the 16th). So of course we had a freeze warning and the night before we took it to the dealer it snowed and we had to clear the snow off to go. Hopefully the second freeze after that one did not damage anything.
