as well open up a big, ol' can of worms, here. As far as
I know, this cartoon offended no one else, but one lady
wrote her local newspaper--I honestly forget where--and
complained that I had used a racial slur in my comic
strip. "Tar baby" is, of course, a metaphor for a sticky
situation, coming from slave tales retold by Atlanta
newspaperman
