If you’re not old enough to remember, you might think, “Fax machines?!” Yep. That’s how jokes were circulated. Reams and reams of paper were wasted swapping trivia over the telephone lines. It was also about this time the quaint notion that the telephone company cared what was disseminated via its equipment died.
