The case for tattersall plaid

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let me become the tenth person today to tell you a little about Cinco de Mayo. Cinco de Mayo has become something of a Mexican St. Patrick’s Day in the United States, a Latino-pride celebration, but it’s something a little different in Mexico. For one thing, it’s not the big holiday there that it is in the United States. Mexican Independence Day, September 16, traditionally has been much bigger. Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Battle of Puebla, a victory of Mexican troops over a superior French force. Yep, French. The adventures of Napoleon III in North America during the American Civil War make fascinating history, but I don’t have the time nor the expertise to go into it now, but you may start here. Adios, amigos!
