Balancing Act

By Jimmy Johnson

August 13, 2002

From 20 years ago this month, when a phone was a phone, and a cell phone was a cell phone, and the only way to be sure how much money you had in the bank was meticulous paper record-keeping. Needless to say, I could never be quite sure how much money I had in the bank. Oh! I could pick up the phone and call the bank and have an automated voice tell me my balance. What an age we lived in.
