I apologize for the late post, but it was a busy morning around here. However, since we’re at the beginning of a sequence, I wanted to give you the next installment of “Sondra,” from 2004.

Rick, Thanks
John II:
You’re welcome, and I give you my thanks for taking the time to read it.

Yesterday afternoon, the two li’l eaglets at Decorah North died. You can read the mention above, or click on its own included address for a longer exposition. Apparently, something borne by the cloud of gnats – I never saw any black flies – overwhelmed them.
Think this did not happen to Elaine when she graduated Brewster NY HS in ’48; I’d have heard about it. We didn’t make her a cake when she got her 2nd BS at BSU in ’70.

Peace,
This is my first message on my first webphone. Yep, i bought a personal surveillance device. This thing had better be worth it.
Oh yeah, Arlo. Such a sacrifice!
ahhh, but you know you love her, Arlo! What’s a little effort, eh? ๐
And according to FB, today is Galliglo’s birthday. So wish her a Happy Birthday, everybody!
Happy Birthday, Galliglo!
YAYAYAY! Happy Birthday ๐
Thank you!

Today, remember.
Remember, the thousands of brave men and women who sacrificed their lives so we could fight in the line & the parking lot at Home Depot.
This literally happened Saturday. A lady got out of her car and was arguing with car behind her. Then going thru the checkout in the garden center the clerk told me that he had to separate someone that was going out with someone trying to come in.
That’s when I made the above comment about the fact that we’re trying to remember those who died in all the wars that gave us the freedom to do whatever we wanted to do…. including acting like imbeciles!

Good one!
โAll gave some, some gave all.โ – Howard William Osterkamp, Korean War veteran
Today, as one who gave some, I will be remembering and honoring those who gave all. Please join me. And I will be especially remembering Jackie’s father, a USAAF pilot who was shot down and died while flying an unarmed reconnaissance in WWII, before his baby girl was born.
Tomorrow, following Jackie’s radiation treatment, we will be making a dash to the site of the funeral and burial of the father of one of the members of the Steals and Deals family. He was a US Navy retiree who died tragically last Wednesday. Please give a special prayer or word of thanks today for this American patriot and warrior. Bravo Zulu, Sailor.

Peace,

Won’t be long. That scruffy nestling just flew up from the partition up its “balcony.”

Once you get to either of these two sites, you can go to all the other explore bird sites just below, and to other explore sites via arrows at the upper right. Beats getting other tasks done.
Peace,
Ghost:
My respect and gratitude to Jackie’s father, the retiree, and you.
My condolences and best wishes to Jackie.
May God be with you all.
And with you, Rick. Thank you.
Today’s A&J on GoComics had a wonderfully understated 4th panel. Even though the command is explicit, the setting suggests quiet reflection. I enjoyed the contrast. Thank you Jimmy Johnson.
Wanted to point to this one as well:

Yaffle is not always a good comic. But this seemed to have the elements readers were looking for without the details that caused so many complaints in other pages. Made for a better presentation before lunchtime.
The rec center’s senior exercise room was crowded today with folks wondering how to best burn off excessive potato salad. ๐
The reason I need to alert correspondents re the meaning of N, E, S, and W when talking / writing about Gotham. Considering the natural orientation of the island, it’s a most sensible grid.

32 photos that moved me. Each with a little descriptive text.
Highly appropriate for the day after Memorial Day.
